what rod is this
 

i just purchased an LS1 for $60. i will be doing a write up on it here soon, but for now i was wondering what rods are in it. they have a fracture cap design and they seem to be rather stout. also i was wondering what the numbers mean on the pistons. any help would do wonders thanks in advance

Those are the stock rods. Nice huh?

where did you find an ls1 for 60 bucks? those are most likely stock pistons as well.

If stock they are 6.098'

i got it by accident, ill be doing a complete tear down and show some of the bullshit these guys did to it. does anyone know the power capabilities of these rods?

i think some where around 550rwhp. but that might just be because of factory rod bolts. i know there are a few people pushing alot more.

my friends stock pistons from a 2000 trans am had that code on the pistons.....Personally, I have never seen a stock rod broken.
