Default ARP main bolts vs. stockers

At what point are ARP main bolts necessary? I'm looking at shortblocks, going through my options and pricing things out. I've never heard of someone breaking a main stud, so I thought I would ask.

Go with ARP main studs, they are just plain stronger and will keep the mains from shifting way better than stock bolts. I guess its more of a piece of mind thing. if you have a little extra $$ to use on your block go ahead and buy a set. Studs are just such nice quality items.

TTT, spend the money on ARP mains or just live with the stockers. On a naturally aspirated engine that will never see north of 7 grand, or nitrous, or a blower. I need to know and I need to know fairly quickly. Thanks!

I have stockers and they are fine. Mine does not turn past 7k though.

I was told by ECS(East Coast Superchargers) that the stockers are good for up to 750wrhp. Thats what I used in my new forged motor that will see 700+rwhp. My buddy has been making 760rwhp for the last 3 years and 6000 hard miles of boost on his forged 346 with stock main bolts...
