Cam gurus- Questions about a non-LS1 cam(SBC)
I know its not an LS1, but I figure most of you guys have experience in other motors.
I have the possibility of acquiring a cam (free) in nearly new condition for a SBC.
My knowledge of cams is pretty limited so I was wondering if you guys could help me out.
The cam is a Crower cam that is a 260/284 .480/.498 on a 110 LSA.
If I were to install it it would be going into a 350 with a dual plane Edelbrock intake manifold, 650 cfm (I think) Edelbrock 4bbl carb. Heads are stock (run of the mill crate motor). It also has long tube headers through a true dual (no H or X pipe) exhaust into 2 40 series flows.
What kind of power would this cam make given the valve events? Is it streetable?
Any info would be greatly appreciated

It has a generous exhaust bias, so that should help it breath a little better up top since the cylinder heads are stock. It will probably idle a little rough. It doesn't sound like a bad option

I have always liked more exhaust lift and duration, makes better power through the better part of the power band. The idle will be alittle shaky and it should lope really well(would sound nice) and would be very streetable. And as long as the lift is under .500, you shouldnt need exspensive valve springs. I would use it if it were me.
