Cam and Head's

Hey guys just had a quick question. I just picked up a 2000 Trans Am (bone stock with the exception of flow master muffler and Spec Stage 3) to race while I am getting the WS6 done. I have a couple friends of mine that are willing to do some trading with me so I can possibly pick up a set of home ported heads with 2.08/1.60 valves no flow numbers and a TSP 233/239. My question is with buying the parts for the WS6 I am kinda strapped for cash to buy headers and a LS6 manifold. Would putting the heads and cam on the car with stock manifolds and LS1 intake be worth it or should I just throw maybe a 100 shot to it and don't waste the time with the heads and cam? Thanks in advance

How much for the heads and cam? Is it a proven set up? Sometimes "home-ported" is not such a good thing. And I'm no expert, but I doubt heads with valves that large will be very happy with a wheezing intake and a restricted exhaust.

I'd say go for the nitrous. Good bang for the buck. But remember....

There's cheap, fast, and reliable....pick two. (Or however the saying goes.)

I go ahead with the H/C deal store it till you can afford to get the headers and intake. if they are your buddies I'm sure your getting them at a good price.

without an intake and headers to let it breath tis a waste of time and money

233/239 will not clear 2.08 valves.
