Speedinc built shortblock questions
I am very interested in their sportsman 348ci ls1 shortblock for $2,799.99. It comes with Dimond pistons, compastar rods, and factory ls1 blueprinted crank etc... I am putting this on my chevy II with big heads and cam.
What are your opinons on the company and how is their repretation. And btw how tough are the stock main bolts, I am definetly going to do the arp head studs with cometic heads gaskets. Should I upgrade the to main studs, I am going to beat and spin this motor...
Thanks guys,
Mark Tisdale

I take it you have a core block we can build from?
Otherwise we have a LSX Iron sportsman motor, no core charge, $3399 we start with a brand new GM 6.0 Iron block, refinished factory crankshaft, forged rods/ARP bolts and Diamond pistons with plasma moly rings.
let me know if you have any questions?

He's right, there is no mention of a core charge when looking at the webiste.
As for the quality/reputation of LS1speed, they are a great company and offer very good quality stuff. I have bought a few things from them and have always been happy.
