Attaining Sound of 302 Camaro

Attaining Sound of 302 Camaro Hey Guys,
I'm new around here, so please pardon my ignorance. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
I was just curious: What would it take to make a 346 LS1 sound like the 302 Camaro Project Car? I realize a cam, LT headers and exhaust would be necessary, but what kind of LSA would be required of the cam? Would any head work be needed (I've never known if heads noticeably alter the sound of the car)?

Re: Attaining Sound of 302 Camaro I would try a 110 lsa cam (mine is going in in a couple of weeks and I will post all about how it sounds and performs). Having heads milled will raise compression and give your car a more healthy sound also (can't really describe the difference). This will help but the ls1 will never sound like a sbc because if the difference in firing order and different bore and stroke ratio.

The last combo was like a 24_/24_//112 LSA solid roller. You'd basically need a nice thumpy camshaft. It also has TTS headers, an ORP with bullet resonators, and a TTS catback.
