SLP's new high torque cam?

its a 224/228 591/600. anybody have it? rwhp #'s? i'm trying to decide on a cam. it will be in a 92 camaro rs with a LS1 from a 2002 TA WS6 with a 6-spd., moser 9-inch rear, 3.70 gear, car weighs 3500 lbs with driver. it will have long tube headers. i want it streetable but it wont be a daily driver. i do drive it to and from the track. any other cam recommendations? i've looked at so many. of course i want some bottom end power too.

Why not go with something tried and tested with good feedback? Unless you can get a good deal on the SLP cam, that is ...

because nothing ever gets tried and tested unless someone tries and tests it :) Who knows it could be a killer street cam.

Yeah, I think that would be an excellant cam for your car. Properly tuned it will drive great.

I talked to one of the reps from Katech at a car show a few months back and he recommended a 224/228 split cam for good midrange power. He said the longer duration on the exhaust side is necessary due to the smaller exhaust valve. Obviously the high lift can help make big numbers and the 113 LSA is probably a bit of a compromise, but should give a decent idle and be relatively easy to tune. I'd say go for it!
