TSP 5.3 cc's? 228R or torquer V2?

Just wondering what the combustion chamber volume is on some stage 2.5 5.3 TSP heads. I have seen claims from 59cc through to 66 cc. Not much is really known about the 5.3s in Australia and id like to do my homework before I ship the stuff over here. I'd like a DCR somewhere 8.5.
Id like to run these as a daily driver M6, tri Ys, dual 2.5", LS6 manifold , P+P T/B, with either a 228R or torquer V2 on a custom mafless tune.
Which would be the better choice? Not so much after a huge HP figure (400ish) more after a fat torque curve. Which head gaskets should i use? The GM factory ones or cometic .040" ? I dont want PTV clearance to become an issue as i dont want to fly cut the pistons.
Much Thanks.

If the heads havent been milled it should around 64cc

Search for posts that I have started, which are trying to answer the exact questions you are asking. I have done alot of the DCR calculations between these very two camshafts. Also to calculate your compression use this SCR/DCR calculator
The 5.3's are 63cc, the LS6 tage 1's are 64cc.

If torque is what your after, then get the 228R w/ .040 gasket and the 5.3's with 2.02 valves and you should have no problems with PTVC. This setup should net about 430rwhp and a little over 400rwtq, with a nice flat torque curve.

Joseph said that the Torquer 2 (112LSA) should work with a .040 gasket with the 2.02 valves, but the vlaves could be sunken a bit to be very sure.

I am now thinking about possibly going with the LS6 stage 1's with a .040 gasket, since this should work fine with plenty of PTVC and possibly having them milled to 63cc, since the smaller valve should still allow adequate PTVC.

I think I will just setup some time that I can talk to Jason about the different setups and which one will work the best for my situation.

Good Luck.

Using the SCR/DCR calculator with the 228R on 112 LSA (108 ICL) I come up with a SCR of 10.85 and a DCR of 8.51 with the V2 I get the same SCR but a DCR of 8.37 using 63cc chamber and standard 0.052" head gasket for both. Does this sound about right? Hopefully by using the standard headgasket I wont have to worry about PTV clearance.

IIRC the 228R is on a 112+2
You can get the heads on stage 1.5 (with 2.02 valves), .045 gaskets and you're home free.
