More cubes = more noise?
Assuming all mods are identical/close except displacement, will a larger cube (383, 402, 408 etc) make more noise than a 346? I'm just curious because with similar exhaust systems you can hear the difference between say a 68 Chevelle with a 307 versus a 68 Chevelle with a 396.

Think of the cam size difference between that 307 and 396 as well. Different cams will also contribute to a different sound. Not to mention you also have different valve and runner locations going from a BBC to a SBC. I can tell you this even with a slightly bigger cam in my 383 it does not sound much different from the cammed 346. Of course the heads have the same valve and runner designs in both.
