918's or PRC duals?

I'm getting the 224/228 .581/.588 (110+2) cam and the vendor said that the 918's would be plenty sufficient with stock retainers. I was planning on getting the PRC dual kit. I thought someone on here mentioned that the duals should be used with the XE-R lobe cam (Patrick G). Anyone run a cam like this with the 918's and no problems? :drive:

The 918's will work just fine, however I just like the added security of the dual spring.

I have the PRC's and no problem here.

With all the problems with 918s lately, I wouldnt push them. Duals for me.

Any more specifics on the can (lobe #'s or something)?

You could use either spring, I like the beehive design myself but the 918's did have some recent issues although Comp doesn't seem to acknowledge it anymore. The PSI 1511 is also an excellent beehive spring and is nitrided for long life.

918's would be sufficent but the duals would be better and give you a tad more sercuity/piece of mind

Duals add safety for not too much more cash. And youre not in any danger of "over springing" like some people state.

Pics are down but basically completely trashed his motor over a broken 918.

Thanks alot for the input guys, I think I'll probably go with the dual springs then.
