Default How much RPM can my engine take?

Its a LME 347 with prc stg 2.5 5.3l heads MS3 cam.
It has forged pistions and rods. also duel valvesprings.
I had it on the dyno last year and it was still pulling HP up at 7000 rpm.
What can I safely pull when running alot of runs. I want it to be reliable but still have some HP. as of now I am shifting at 6300 due to having a 4l60e but I am changing to a better transmission.

I would shift it at 6600-6700 rpm.I had mine shift at 6500, then changed it to 6900 and did not gain any ET or MPH.If you have a complete built short block its safe to 7000,Just keep fresh oil in it,like 1000-1500 miles. Its a toss up if the trans is gonna take a **** on ya.mine is basically stock with just a shift kit and some alto red clutch bands and it has 15 runs in the 10sec range and at least 75 in the 11 sec range, the key is letting it sit and cool down for a minimum of 45 minuits between runs, trans temp never gets over 200 degrees.Good Luck!!!

My rev limiter is set at 7300 rpms and it seems to be doing fine. Tranny does get very hot though after 1-2 runs.

A forged engine should be able to spin high fairly reliably...

I'm not saying it's good on it but I've had my stock bottom end up at 7k a couple of times, so I'm sure if you actually have a built bottom end I wouldn't get to paranoid.

I have been double entering 3 classes a night a couple nights a week for the past three years running in mid to low 7's 1/8th mile. Sometimes the car just makes laps around the track and they are waiting on me at the starting line. That happens almost everytime we go to the track alot of times the car is in the finals or semi finals of 2 or 3 classes. the most the engine temp gets to is 210 and the most the trans sees is 200.
I plan to switch to a PG with tbrake and box next year and run less classes.
So I was thinking about upping my shift RPM at that time
