Default No oil pressure after H/C swap, help!

This was done to my project truck with all the gauges, I have a temp and oil pressure gauge connected.

So I flycut pistons, swap cam - Torquer 2, CNC ported 853 heads, pushrods, new LS6 oil pump, dual chain with spacers, TSP UD pulley, injectors and got the PCM a mail order tune. I was very careful with the oil pickup tube o-ring, I installed to PU tube then placed the oil pump over the tube while my boy pushed the tube down.

Tried to prime the engine after and got no pressure, then started for 5 seconds no pressure, shut everything down.

What could be causing this?

I don't have all gauges connected however I do have a oil pressure gauge connected to the connection in the back of the engine. Should I try another oil pressure gauge?

Help please.

Did it make a lot of noise when you started it, like lifters? Have you checked for oil either at the sensor or by removing a valve cover? Hopefully it's the gauge... Not that damn o ring...

It did not make a lot of noise, it sounded like normal with a higher rpm, just like when you start a cold car, fired right up with no noticable noise, I do have one small oil leak at the botton right side of the oil pump, I just need to recheck the torque on the oil pan bolts.

Could it be the o-ring? how would I know if it was the o-ring?

If you're not getting oil to the top of the engine, it's usually the oil ring. Just going by what I've read on here with guys after cam swaps. It could even be just that the o ring is pinched. I've also read that an o ring should never be re-used, although I have re-used them without problem.

Is the gauge you're using mechanical?

Makes easier to check. Is there oil in the line from the sending unit to the gauge?

Unfortunately it is probably the O-ring on the pump

Make sure you didn't break off the oil pressure sending unit ... the top of it is plastic and it is EZ to break

Could be the O-ring on the pick up tube is pinched. could also be the spacers for the Oil pump. They only go on one way, but will fit both ways. If you put them on wrong they will block the oil passages.
