Default how do I put a tack in my car

I have a 98 SS camaro with a 6 speed I was wanting to put a tack with a shift light in it how do i hook it up. Can you just hook up to one coil or what.

This is in the wrong section but here's how you do it. Find the tach output PIN on your ECM and splice into it (this is going to be the green wire off your tach). Red wire is going to a keyed 12v source in the fuse box inside the car. The white wire is going to a 12v lighted source in the fuse box. And the black wire is a ground
