Default Heads/camp install, will it run with 42lb injectors before tune??

Ok I just bought the TSP 5.3l/stg. 2.5 heads and a MS3 combo. I purchased lucas 42lb injectors and was wondering if the car will run with the new injectors or would I be better off intalling the stock injectors(2002 camaro) and then changing them out when I get to the tuner. I know either way its going to run like crap until I get it tuned, I just need it to run long enough for a proper break in/heat cycles and to drive it to the tuner. Thanks'

Id be very surprised if you can get it to run. Youll be dumping in about twice the fuel it shoudl be dumping in.

I would certainly keep the stockers in there for the few heat cycles and then change the injectors in the tuner's parking lot. It dosnt take too long.

You need to have a tune for the injectors before you put them in. The H/C should be fine before the tune, just be easy on the car, No WOT runs.

I would wait on the injectors until you can get it tuned....it would be fine with the heads/cam but the injectors would flood it.

I'm running my stock injectors (02ss) with an ms4 and ls6 heads. Had 38's to go in, but my tuner told me that i didn't need them. Then when they tuned it they said i still had another 50hp left in the stockers. Your fuel pump will run out before you injectors will (if its tuned properly).

When I did mine, I drove down to the shop with the stocker and put the #36 in the shop before they tune the car. I asked the same question a while ago and most people don't recommend it. You can actually do some damage by washing the cylinder walls too much.
