I searched and I couldn't find anything, so I just thought I'd ask. I thought I remembered reading a month or so ago that people were have problems with the 918's. Is this true? Has this problem been resolved? I searched and all that I could come up with is back in 2002/2003 when they had a "bad batch". Or maybe I'm just crazy??

Yea, there have been some recent issues since they swapped manufactures. I had a set & didn't want to roll the dice so I sold them. Went with Patriot duals instead.

Crane is now making a beehive spring as well, you might want to check them or PSI 1511's.

The crane beehive is made by us and we made the original CC 918s. So the Crane beehive is actually the original 918 :)

We've also come out with the next evolution of the 918 which is our PAC-1518. Capable of .650" lift. Its nitrided and gets a lot fo the same processing Cup springs get. I believe Crane sells this from us too but I don't know their part number off the top of my head. This and the Patriots duals are very good springs.

i wouldnt use 918s if you paid me...just NOT worth it

Good information. So the Crane beehives are nitrided?

I just went back and looked. No they don't offer our nitrided high lift beehive yet. Just our standard 1218 which is the old 918. Their part number which I think was mentioned before is 99637-16. I thought they offered our 1518 too, but I guess not.

There's a group purchase going on the pac 1218's and 1518's on cz28.com $120 shipped for the 1218's shipped and $200 for the 1518's.

Wow, I thought the 918's were a decent spring. Thanks for the info guys. I will probably end up going with PRC Dual Springs from Texas Speed.

That just makes you not as smart as some and quite uneducated. Weve turned 7500-8300 rpm with hyd roller LSx stuff and guess what, some of those have been with PACs 918

They were when we made them. And they still are, just with a different part number :jest:

Mine are holding up just fine so far.

I saw on another web site you guys might be revising your pricing structure so that the cost is not so dependent on the number of springs set purchased. Do you know if this is going to happen?
