Replace Oil Pan Gasket When Changing Rod Bolts Is it recommended to change the oil pan gasket when replacing the rod bolts? The engine is a 2001 LS1 with 32K on it. Thanks

Your car does have very low mileage so I'd say you don't have to throw a new one in there as long you don't have any leaks before you pull the pan. Just be sure to clean the mating surfaces and you should be ok. I didn't have to put any silicone on mine and I haven't had any leaks, I just aligned the oil pan to the bellhousing.
