What's the easiest way to replace rod bolts? Hey all. As a result of my cam swap(replaced oil pump). I have an oil leak (from the pan) that will not go away. I've retorqued all the bolts and it's still leaks. dropped the pan, rtv'd it and it still leaks. I've decided to just pull the whole pan, scrape the gasket off and replace it. While I've got the pan off I'm going to replace the rod bolts. I'm a decently mechanicly inclined person and was wondering how many people have done this before with the motor still in the car. I don't have access to a lift or cherry picker and want to know the best way to do this. Do I have to lift the motor off the K member? Any advice would be appreciated!!! |
There is a new write up on here. I'll see if i can find it for yah. Here you go. https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...rod+bolt+write |
