Stock injectors for H/C swap?
Just curious as if it's that bad of idea to keep the stock fuel injectors for my upcoming H/C swap. I have already dished out enough money for all the parts and supporting mods for this swap and i want to know if i should strain my wallet to get some new injectors as well.
Here's my upcoming setup:
*EDIT*
RHS Heads (210cc)
Comp 230/230 .612/.590 111LSA +2
ALSO, if i do get new injectors, will i be able to drive it to a local dyno to get it tuned or would it be the worst idea in the world to run new injectors with factory computer?

DO NOT REPLACE THE INJECTORS AND TRY TO DRIVE BEFORE A IFR TABLE TUNE!!!
What will happen if you do that is you will wash out the cylinders with fuel and the plugs will foul in about 30 seconds and the car will die.
Anyway with heads and cam you want a larger set of injectors and 42's are probably your best bet since they are cheap and can provide fueling for lots of HP.

Yes it is enough I run SVO 30lbs on a 450rwhp NA with plenty left in them and 550+ on juice with no issues.
The issue is not injectors but to keep fuel pressure where needed. That is why it is recommended to get a 255 and regulator at rail for anything over 450 rwhp

To answer the initial poster questions:
1) Keep the stock injectors in for the drive to the tuning shop, and keep your foot OUT of it; low revs, gentle driving, you'll be fine. Should be ok to 300 rpm, but up at higher loads, revs, you might go lean and damage the motor. Install the big injectors after you get to the tune shop.
2) Yeah, you'll need bigger injectors. You may also need a bigger/higher volume fuel pump, like a 255 LPH in tank.
3) How big can be calculated with a variety of online calculators. You will probably not NEED 42s, but they tend to cost less than 30s do, and they will idle fine if the tuner knows what they are doing. I got a set of 'flow matched 42 pph" on Ebay; I've been very happy with them, and they cost well under 300 with a warranty. They are rebuilt Bosch units if I remember correctly. 42s will also accomodate future mods nicely.

I would run the stockers to the dyno & swap them for a set of 36# or 42# injectors. I'm currently running my stockers without issue, but my set-up is alot milder than yours.
I have a in-line Walbro pump & set of 36# injectors sitting on my desk at work just incase I end up needing them though. I know I'll need them later when I add my 100 dry shot.

I guess I dissagree; it really depends on your engine.
Injector size is dictated largely by displacement. Adding a few bolt-on and a street cam usually does not require bigger injectors....

Your a crack head. How can your injectors be open more than all the time?????
Presonally I would not drive the car to the Dyno to avoid possible problems. But if you do install the injectors (I recomend 36lb) after you get there. As stated earlier driving with the big injectors and the PCM tunned for the stock injectors could wash out the rings. That would be a bad thing.
