there are more than a handful of threads about this. the basic ones are M1 5w30 and GC 0w30.

ya sorry i did a search but most of the time all i found was for built motors. While i plan to do stuff in the future, I have no mods right now so I just watned to make sure that I was puttin something good for the way my motor is now.

Is it GC 0w-30 thats best? I seem to see people that say that on what i could find.

On a high mile ls1 engine like 115k+ is it still okay to use 5w30 mobil 1 syn?
I use the 10w30 mobil 1 syn.

I used Mobil 1 10w30 exclusively after breakin. At 80,000+ miles cylinder walls still had plenty of crosshatching. Made me a believer. I'm using Shell Rotella T 15w40 in my new stroker because of increased zinc and phosphorus additives for the forged engine.
