get a cheap air blower like under 10$ at meanards with a long nozzle and blow it out.the kind that will go all the way to the bottom of the hole.

Brake cleaner and a shop vac. Use the vac first, clean hole with brake clean and repeat. The brake clean will evaporate when all of the coolant is gone.

Arent LS1 head bolts torque to yield?? if they are you better not use your old ones back. go buy some new ones so you dont run into other problems.

I ducttaped a straw to the shop vac tube and used that to suck everything out.

If the coolant has dried or caked up, you might want to run a thread chase or tap to clean teh threads. You can make one out of an old head bolt by notching down one side.

After that, maybe stray out with brake cleaner to get rid of any solids in there. Then do the shop vac + drinking straw trick to empty them out.

You could run shop towels down the hole to soak up the coolant if you dont have a shop vac
