Akward crank pulley movement (VIDEO) I am looking at purchasing this 1999 vette that has 100k on the motor. The car is in perfect condition but the crank pulley is making an akward movement.
here is a video. Does anybody have an idea what this could be and what would need to be done to fix it?

Pulley might just be beat.
First thing I would check is the pulley bolt. If that backed out the pulley might be trash. I would look at the front of the crank to see if that is beat up too. The stock bolt takes a 24mm socket. I bought the ARP and that takes a 27mm.

Hmmm... looking at purchasing. I would let that vette go, be patient.
If he gives the car to you for free I would check out http://www.neweraperformanceparts.com for a pulley.
