1999 SS rocker arm bearings
I've found several small needle bearings in my oil pan. SLP says they are from the rocker arms. They want a small fortune for an upgraded rocker arm kit. I'm not sure what the upgrade consists of but know I can't afford it right now with Santa buying all the toys for the kids and what not.
Does anyone know what ratio rocker arms are in the '99 SS and/or who makes a good replacement for less than what SLP is asking? They wanted $600.00 just for the rocker arms and $1100.00 for the upgrade kit. I'll probably try to do the work myself although I'm not much of a motorhead. How hard could it be?
I just need to keep this thing running until I get my 2008/09 camaro like Bumblebee out of the transformer movie.
Any advice is appreciated.

AHAHAHAH !!!!
$1700 for rockers? LOL
Call Harland Sharp. They will get you some rebuilt FACTORY rockers that have rebuilt bearings that won't puke into your oil pan again.
OR
Call Harland Sharp. They will hook you up with some aftermarket roller rockers, which are sposed to have reduced friction and prehaps make more power.
I recommend getting rebuilt stocker rockers. Have fun!

I bought my stock replacement one's from the dealership. On my account they were $9.00 a piece. I was told they were upgraded from the originals and won't spill the bearings like they used to.
