Default What fuses to pull to turn the engine over saftely after H/C swap?

Ok guys-

Tomorrow may be the day I get to turn the key on the thing for the first time in almost 2 months..

Just wondering what fuses I need to pull the keep fuel from getting into it so I can turn it over and make sure it sounds right..

Thanks!

Jeff

I never pulled any when I do them (R&R motor) and when I worked at a GM store.

Ok..

I've seen some guys pull some fuses to keep fuel from getting to the engine to take one last check and make sure or lessen the damage..

I've read about guys pull the fuel pump fuse and the ignition relay to prime the oil and the PCM fuse to pretty much neutralize everything..

Yeh, I've been reading that.. Just thought I'd see if there might be anything else..

The directions at LS1HowTo.com have been GREAT, but are missing a few things here or there..

You could always pull the plugs and turn it over by hand.

Definitely.

Otherwise you might flood it with too much fuel and no spark.

Make sure there is no pressure in the fuel lines.

These returnless fuel systems run forever even with the fuel pump relay out, at least mine did.
