Default Will spinning motor by hand throw off cam sensor?

I'm sorry if this is a dumb question. My motor was sitting around my house for several months, so I would turn it every few weeks to make sure it wasn't seized up. Would the cam sensor still know what position the cam is in? What about the crank sensor? I'd appreciate any help ya'll could give me. Thanks.

your sensors will be unaffected by this.

When i did my cam, i spun my engine a few times and everything worked fine. But maybe sitting for a few months its different.

It's a 6.0 from either a 2001 or 2004 truck(can't remember which year). Were there different cam sensors used in the GenIII motors?

The cam sensor works in a magnetic pick up and will not be affected.

No it's not a dumb question. Sensors have feelings too just like you. Sensors get lonely when you don't give them copious amounts of attention. Every few weeks is not nearly frequently enough. Best to increase the frequency to once a week and more often during the holidays.
