Exclamation Quick cam help so I can order for X-mas!!!

Hey there, I never ordered a cam this summer but I am now ready and need to get one ordered for Christmas but I wanted to double check a cam recommendation first. I'm running 5.7 ls1 241 heads with the patriot dual gold springs, 2.02 and 1.57 valves, valve drop is .105 and .135, and they are milled .030. These flow extremely well! I have the flow numbers if needed but they were tested against a set of GTP's and flowed just a little better to give you an idea. I am running the 90/90, yella terra 1.7 rockers, comp 7.4 push rods and nearly all bolt-ons. I have 42lb. injectors but I will be downsizing if needed and a tci 3500 which I will might trade out as well. I might run a dry 150 or less shot. I currently have a comp 222/222 so I want to go bigger but remain streetable. Looking for usable power not just peak number's! I want something that will fit for sure, possibly like the 228r. I just need some help so I can order this and I can't get ahold of anyone at Texas Speed! All opinions are appreciated. Thanks!

I saw a really nice cam in the forsale section not to long ago..

I belive it was a 224-230-585-595-112...

It looks to be a really good cam for what you have!

I went with a trick flow stage 3 camshaft, made good power for me and I dd my car. specs are like 228/230 with .585/.585 on a 112 lsa. I think this cam would work well for you as it did for me.

Now I will not be flycutting, with my heads milled do you think the 228r as well as the two above would all fit fine?

I am also going to say go with a 224/230 too. Thats what I am currently having installed in my car. The range on it is really wide and really makes some good numbers. Might want to give it some thought..

I think a 228R would clear, but I'd definately check p/v before just to make sure it clears. That's just really bad valve drop for the valve size your running.... Are you sure it's that bad?

thanks everyone, what are the advantages if any to go with a split cam over the straight 228? Also, should I go 112 or 114 lsa?
