Can't get the oil pan down for chain install.....
 

Ok all the bolts are loose, yes including the two in the bell housing are out. I've got all the bolts 90% out, am I misssing something. I can pull a chin up on the front and it barely pulls down. All I do is bend screw drivers, might try a pry bar tomorrow.

Let me know.

I had the same problem with the bolts loose, it ended up even though the bolts were very loose. You need to completely remove every oilpan bolt completely.

Dropping the pan is very easy, mine dropped down as I un-screwed the bolt's and can't imagine haveing to use a pry bar for this, maybe tap it with a mallet. I've also done this a couple times and it only took 20 minutes at most. I found it very easy to just drop the pan and loosen the bolt, wrap some safety wire (wire feed welding wire, paper clip, or something similar) around the bolt and twist it up close to the threads, hold on to the wire, then finish un-screwing the bolt, no way for it fall down in to the oil pan and simple to restart it when putting it back in. My .02 anyway...

You have to pull the oil pump off to get the timing chain off, that's why he is trying to drop the oil pan to get to the bolt holding the siphon tube (that's connected to the oil pump) to the block!

If I'm not mistaken the back bolts (might be the front, I dont have my manual around) use alot less torque (like in/lbs). Be carefull or you can twist them off.
