So I just started my car, after H/C/I underdrive pully install....
Alright guys, I just started my car after a heads cam install. Anyway... first try it didnt even do a full revolution, and it fired right up... let it run for a few minutes... great oil pressure, charging... everything was gravy... Shut it off, checked the fluids, and when I started it again, it was surging like a bitch, and didnt want to run on its own.. Like as soon as the lifters pumped up... Normal? Havent put any miles on her yet, and am hoping that the puter needs time to think about what happened.

Thats comforting, it doesnt even want to stay running.... have to feather the gas and keep the idle up to about 1100 just to keep it running smooth.
By the way, hoooo ya!

LS6 ported heads and intake, 234/226 cam, harland sharp 1.7s, chromoly rods, UD pully, AR race headers.... This is from stock, so its a little different now. Plus, I also dropped the tranny, did the complete Trans Go, and installed a ss4000. Getting her tuned next week or so by Speed Inc.

Ok, first off, I dont know where a head shop would be near you, unless I know where you are at....
Secondly, I drove it today, and it drives mean as hell, but still wont idle for ****... Still hoping a few more miles will get it to idle at least...
Tools needed. Well, unless your rebuilding your heads, or buying bare ones, you wont need the valve spring tool, but you will need the tools to unclip your fuel lines, multiple extensions in various lengths, swivels, beer, air tools help, more beer, and lots of cussing. I suggest to buy a good bottle of booze so when she starts up the first crank, you can celebrate, like I did as well....
The biggest help was ziplock baggies, and labeling all the bags for the various bolts they held... Made things go ALOT smoother puting it back together. Granted, at one point all that was in the car was the block.. I had lots of baggies.
Calling in the appointment for tuning tomorrow. Hoping for some good numbers.
My cam is a 234/226 on a 112/113 split duration.
