help car won't start !!!!

well i hope i can get some input.here's my problem;installed my new motor an iron block 370ci started it up yesterday and in was missing mostly at lower rpm revved to about 4000-5000 rpm and it sounded awesome no miss at all (well at least you couldn't tell)granted it won't idle cuz it probably needs a tune (big cam)anyway some header pipes were real hot and some were just warm.it gave a 336 code and the tach won't work so i gave up for the day.
got out of work early and checked the crank sensor and wires looked good but replaced the sensor anyway and it won't even start now.what gives!!!!

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!

Try putting the old sensor back in. If it started and ran with it, then it's bound to be good. With some header tubes hot, it sounds like some cylinders were real lean. You need to get a tune before you run it much more.

I had a similar problem w/ my 370. It just needed to get tuned. once the tuner made some changes while the car was off uploaded it and the started fine and we worked on the tune from there.
