Opinions on my new heads
Ok so im already full bolt on and cammed, i love my cam the tsp 224r, and will not be changing, i put down 382 and 373 on a mustang dyno, anyow i was looking at te ported ls6 heads, then a bunch of moderators and what not chimed in and thought if money permits the prc stage 2.5 5.3 heads would be a better choice.... i want your guys opinion, pros and cons would be greatly appreciated, thank you

I believe the 5.3 heads to be a better match to the 224 cam. Smaller port, higher velocity along with smaller combustion chambers netting more compression without milling the head. I made 389rwhp @ 37?rwtq cam only and went to 420rwhp @ 396rwtq after adding 03era Patriot 5.3 heads and tune. Compression went from 10-1 to 10.8-1. Pulls much harder with no loss of driveability. I've had mine setup this way since 03 and am still happy.

I really like the smaller runner PRC 5.3l stage 2.5 heads with cams in the 220s range. The smaller runners & extra compression we can get you with some extra decking will greatly improve throttle response & makes awesome hp & torque gains!
