they should yeild a nice gain.

with a slightly bigger runner, they may seem a bit sluggish in the low end. but you'll still get nice power.

definatly get compression down, that will make a big difference in power

I think both of you mean bring the compression up. I noticed a big difference throughout the powerband with these heads vs cam only. I don't have dyno numbers, but I'm sure that you will be pleased with the results.

you mean stock?

who cares....they're ported.

and comparing ported to ported is even pretty useless.

To give you an idea. I'm an A4 and when I was just cammed with a tr224 I put down 350 rwhp. TSP told me that I would see about 40rwhp from the heads.Ron at Vengeance said a ported 90/90 would give me about 27rwhp. So its safe to say I should be around 417 rwhp in an A4 with these heads and ported 90/90. Well I added the heads and ported 90/90 and now I put down 417 rwhp407rwt(corrected).Uncorrected it was 425rwhp. Thats with Gm gaskets. If your gonna stick with this cam I would run Cometic gaskets to raise compression ,and nice bump in HP.I did not cuz I knew I would go to a bigger cam later wich I have, anf will pick my car up here soon. Good luck to you hope this helps

I'm considering these heads pretty strongly myself. I just didn't know how much I would gain from them. I didn't know if the gains would be worth it or not. That's alot of money and I would hate to pay that much and not gain that much. How about some reviews from everybody with the 5.3 heads? What would be better 5.3's or LS6? Not trying to hijack but I think it kinda goes hand and hand.

You won't like em, just chalk it as a loss and send em to me for $500.

I have seen good results from these heads, and it seems you don't have unrealistic goals for the heads so you shouldn't be disappointed. I would check the Dyno section for similar builds to get an idea.....good luck

TR224 cam only = 376 rwhp (half assed tune, 114 LSA)

w/PRC 2.5 heads = 412 rwhp (very conservative N2O tune)

Better off to change them. I did. I am extremely pleased with the heads I have as well. Great product for sure.
