Default How high is high for milage?

Im looking at an LS1 engine and ive found one with a T56 thats done 113k, i wasnt looking to do more to it than bolt ons and a mild cam, can i expect many problems from this?

I know it depends on how the engines been treated but i didnt know if they are prone to breaking after a certain range.

Thanks

my motor im using for my swap has exactally 113k on the clock. I would assume you will be fine. it all depends on how had those 113k miles were and how often the motor/tranny was serviced.

miles mean nothing to an engine....engines dont travel distances like rear ends and stuff. 100 miles could be 100 miles driven or 400 1/4 mile passes....unless you physically drove the car through all the miles you will never know. With cheap oil and no maintenance it could be a POS. Or using good oil and taken care of it could look like new inside???????

If you scroll down a read a few other posts there is a guy with 211k wondering about a short block but says it is still running great. I think the post is just a step to planning for the what if when you know you have higher miles. I have a friend with a motor that has 119k on it and it runs great!
