Well its def more drivable than the ms3. the tr230 will have more power under the curve.. its is a reverse split cam and is designed around stock heads.

I have it and absolutely love it....it makes great power under the curve and sounds mean at idle. The TR230 pulls hard from any RPM and any speed and has great driveability. Are you A4 or M6?

Hell yea. I have the TR230 and love it as well. Really does pull from every RPM. I have drove a car that had a cam very close to ms3 specs (and P&P heads) and it didn't have **** for tq down low. Was fast after 4k or so.


For a street car I would recommend the TR230 to anyone.

TR230/224 here too.

I love it, great powerband, great lopy sound at idle, great on the street.
as far as MS3 we need some other guys to chime in.

I too love the TR230, pulls hard the moment you step on the petal with a nice flat powerband. Though now I am going a different direction with my setup and sellin the cam. Anyone want a low mile TR230?

My buddy had this cam. His car ran really strong with it. He just had headers, lid, and 4:10's. He ran a 12.0 with a 1.7 60' on 17" Drag Radials. Its a great cam especially if you want good street manners.

that TR230/224 cam is definitely another favorite. i went with the MTI X1 230/227 591/571 112 and i made 393 rwhp stock heads no under drive pulley with 2.73..

my car just went 11.61@116 with this cam yesterday. it does require a decent tune in an a4 but is well worth it

I would think that with a 6 degree reverse pattern camshaft you would want to have a pretty decent exhaust system. I don't see mentioned what you have?

remember that is thru a 9inch with 4.10 gears too. I trap low 120s all day in the quarter.
