Default Cam w/ Stock tranny?

Any of you with autos runnin an aftermarket cam with the stock tranny. I already have a 3500+ stall with a tranny cooler. I have pretty much full bolt-ons and I'm wanting about 400rwhp or more out of it. I don't plan on replacing the bastard until it breaks, and just wanted a few ideas before ordering a cam. . . Any suggestions?

A cam with a stock auto transmission is pretty common. as long as you got the stall to match the cam, and a transmission cooler, id say your in the clear. Soon as you start putting down 400+ rwhp though, you should watch how you drive, that will determine the duration of the transmission.

yeah theres a lot of people running cams with stock trans/rear. you never no though with these. they can break when the car is stock. if you have the money then why not get a better trans and be able to sell your other one or just save money and wait until it breaks

I just upgraded to an RPM Level4 a few weeks ago... however, my H/C stalled (stock 4L60E) lasted a good 50K... with sensible driving..
