I was wondering if anybody has bored a 98 ls1 more then what GM calls for .004"? I wasn't thinking about going more then .010" just have some deep scratches... Has anybody had any prob's doing this? Thanks...

I'm pretty sure that going .010 is too much but don't quote me on it. I went .007 on my setup but was told that's the "safe" limit. Maybe someone else will chime in.

I went .005. I think that much will definately make the walls to thin and weak.

The engine shop I took mine to honed mine .010" They said it was wore .003". I hope it will be fine. They have been building and racing LSx's since they came out, so they are experienced with them anyways.

How many miles when you re-built?

.005=max 98 .010=max 99 up as per gm.
