Question Anyone know the difference from LG's G5X3 and the G5X3 version 2?

I been reading up on LG's G5X3 cam and it looks like theres a version 2 of the G5X3. Does anyone the difference in the cams, and does anyone know when the version 2 was made??

Try PMing allngn_c5, I know he has the V2, in fact he might have even had the V1 before that. I don't know of one other person running the V2 at the moment...

The subtle differences are LSA, more lift, more duration. Don't have the specifics but I know comparing the two, version I didn't peak until 7000 on 114 lsa and falls off afterwards. Version II peaks at 6400 (much more motor friendly) but carries all the way to my rev limit of 6800 rpms, only losing 3-5 rwhp from peak. LSA is 110.5 or 111.5, I don't no for sure, but that would explain the peak power coming on earlier. Also makes much better low end torque. Hows 360 rwtq at 2800 rpms sound on a well tuned h/c etc etc 346 ??

Hope this helps. If you need more info, just call Bobby or Anthony at LGM.

Allign, there is no way the X3 on a 114 would peak at 7000rpm

It sure seemed like it would. It was still climbing when it hit my 6800 rev limit back in 2005.

You said it won't, could you please tell me why? You are much more knowledgeable then I am on this stuff and I readily admit that. I also may be in error, because I am going off memory, but that is the way I remember it. Help a brother out ok.

its because of the ls1 style intake it will peak around 6300 everytime, then a fast will get you about another 100 rpms or so to about 6500. If you look at every dyno from an ls1 style intake they will always make peak tq. and hp at the same point give or take a few hundred rpms. The difference with the cams is how far it will carry after its peak with out losing a lot.

Thanks Justin, I obviously have a flawed memory. I truly believed it didn't hit peak power until 7 grand. Sorry.

I replied in your PM but yeah, peak is dictated by IVC and intake restriction. Now it will rev to 7000, but that is not peak.

I would imagine peak 6400-6600 at best.
