Cam swap. Timing cover/oilpan install question

I did a cam swap my ls6 engine.. Putting it back together and putting the oilpan and timing cover back on. Whats the alighnment procedure on these. And is silicon required in the corners of timing cover and olil pan? Checked out ls1 how to and just wanted to make sure it was right.. put timing cover loosely install bolts..Install harmonic balancer tighten all bolts ect. Right? Thanks

Sounds right. I followed ls1howto.com and it worked good. Also just put alittle silcon in the corners.

I also put silicon on the corners. I put the front cover on and torque it, then do the oil pan and then the balancer. Not sure if that's right or not. Remember the back two oil pan bolts are alot less torque.
