Help! Idling issue.

Hey guys just put in a 232/234 601/601 112+2 my ? is when come to a complete stop it idles fine 850rpm but as soon as I let off the brake it jumps up to 1500rpm and stays there without even hitting the throttle and just coasting through side streets is this normal. Now I'm guessing it might be my ss4000 with my 2.73 gears causing this any help would be appreciated.

First thing I would do is look for a vacuum leak.

Do you have any tuning software? I had to do a bunch of tuning when I pick my 233/233 in.

Yes! I had it dynotuned. What could I check? Would messing with the idle screw mess up my tune?

where was it tuned and did it do that right after you had it tuned? or did it run fine, then later began? It really sounds like a vaccuum leak but it could be the tune.

Yes after the tune.

I've seen a bunch of threads on this issue, RPMs jump when stopped or coasting, problem is after vehicle gets tuned. My car does the same thing and there is no intake leaks...have never seen any fix for this problem. anybody know for sure if another tune would fix it?

either cam surge or your idle needs to relearn. sometimes after i flash my computer and drive the idle stays high when i press in the clutch as i'm stopping and doesn't come down, the way i get it to relearn is to drive it a little then stop and let the car idle in neutral for a minute or two and then drive it, after that the idle is normal.

Mine idles fine when stopped but as soon as it starts rolling or even just coasting it jumps up to 1500rpm and stays there until complete stop it's like driving on constant cruise control.

sounds like a tuning issue, mine did that when tuning at first until we fixed it.

Most idling problems I had on my car were tuning issues. Now if you had a leak that would also cause a idling problem.
