1.8's with stock cam?

so would it be bad or good to do, some have told me that with 1.8s it will increase the lift on the cam?

am i a complete idiot or just a slight idiot?

I jut did it ,also added ls6 heads and ls6 intake gained like 45 rwhp. You should change springs if you do it it ads like 30 lift

It will increase lift at the valve and slightly enlarge the overlap triangle. Some have had good results doing this, but it depends on which rockers you select.

Considering the lower cam lift of the 01 and 02, 1.8 rockers seems pretty safe if the valve springs are the same as the 98-00 ones. Anybody know the differences between the springs?
