Single pattern vs standard split with TEA's?

Ok down to the final decision for the new cam...would a 228/228 .588"/.588" 112 make more power than a 228/230 .571"/.573" 112 with stage 2 TEA 5.3's? I know the power difference wouldn't be much but trying to get every last drop of power out of my combo...opinions please :D

This is basically the specs I have been considering....I believe between the two it is a crap shoot. Once tuned they will be close. One other option I have been considering is using an XER intake lobe and a XE exhaust lobe...228/230 .588/.573...with a 113(+3)lsa. Let us know what you decide and results....it will be interesting to say the least.
Later.

I think the 228/228 cam would be better because that cam is on XER lobes. On another point, I don't think you will see much difference between the 2, but if it were my car i'd get the 228/228

I would tend to agree with Brent, either a single pattern cam OR a reverse split with 2 degrees more on the INTAKE lobe. The total engine airflow heads have produced the best results with small reverse splits 2-4 degrees or single pattern cams. I made ~435rwhp with a single pattern cam and a couple of bent valves.

The 228/228 .588/.588 112 is ground with XER lobes? I didn't know that.

always go with what the head porter suggest's, they will know the best. Brent says use the one with xer lobes, then use the one with xer lobes, I would also ask brent if he has a better choise in cams to work with his heads, maybe he would suggest a 228/230 cam on xer lobes, Use the cam he recomends so hopefully you use the full potential of the head with out another disapointing result becuase of wrong matched parts

I have tried 3 cams with my TEA heads. I like the traditional split better..
