LS6 heads match cam? I have a stock 02Z06. I plan on installing headers, and an X pipe through the stock TI exhaust. High flow cats will remain in the system. I also do not plan on touching the heads. My question is what cam will take full advantage of the setup. I'm looking real hard at the TR224 cam on a 112. It will be a street car so I'm looking to stay away from a "peaky" cam. Any insight as to what specs for a cam will work best for that combination? Of course I'll get it tuned, and beef up the valve train. Not completely sure the 224 will take full advantage of the available air. |

I have an LS6, pretty much identical to what you describe, with the exception of a proted 90/90 and an UD pulley. Stock 243's, kooks headers w/ cats, etc. I went with a custom 224/228 111+0 cam with great results.
