I have a 98 SS M6. I plan on doing Heads/cam and was wondering how well this combo would work rogether. For a cam I was looking at the TR 224 112 or 114LSA or the MTI C2. For exhaust - FLP LT, Intake LS6 and for heads I am debatine Absolute S2 5.7 or Patriot Performance 5.3 with higher compression. so:

LS6 intake
FLP LT headers with cats
TR 224 112 0r 114 vs. MTI C2
Absolute Speed S2 vs. Patriot Performance

Thoughts? BTW, I am trying to keep the car "emission friendly" for now. Pros/cons - suggestions?

It will be easier to keep the car emissions friendly at the sniffer test with a 114 LSA than it will be with a 112 LSA.

I don't think you can go wrong with the TR224 or a C2 similar cam. I would favor a 224/224 XE-R on a ~113-114 LSA with emissions being an issue, not the C2 with it's 112 LSA. With careful tuning etc the C2 might pass the sniffer.

I'd call up Absolute and Patriot and talk with them. See which cams and what spec's they favor for their heads with your set up.

Both heads will make good numbers. With a TR224 you could expect around 420 or so rwhp with a pulley, ported TB, and tuning, since you are a M6 car. Btw, you will have to get tuning to be able to pass emissions. Like Black Bird said above.. it will be harder to get a 112lsa cam to pass emissions.

So my suggestion is the TR224 on a 114
