Default Are Ti retainers worth an extra $160?

Would these really be beneficial enough to justify the cost on a small cam and header motor?

N0 ...

The retainers are so small on the LS1, that using an aftermarket "drop in" type spring like the 918 don't justify the extra cost of the lighter retainers. Save your money for something else.

They weigh one third less than the steel ones.

No point in buying them new though:
