She's alive!! Got the car put together last night! New LS6 block, forged internals, dart pro 1 heads, F14 cam, etc. She fired right up but died after it warmed up. Today I played with the tune some and got her running pretty well but still needs a more detailed tune. The LS7 clutch is amazing. smooth operation with good holding power. She sounds great! I don't have a video with the full exhaust yet but here's a short one with the very first startup dumping out the AR Long tubes. Also I bought a Lokar oil dipstick part #ED-5008 says "Flexible Engine Dipstick LS1" on the package, but it's waaaaay too short, won't even reach through the headers.... what's up with that?! http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k1...h_P7260325.jpg |
should run great once you get it on the street. |
congrats,man...mine came back alive today as well... took all day to put new heads back on but it fired up okay... i gave up on the oil dip stick after i made a pretzel out of it trying get it back in... |
Congrats, sounds like a nice set up. |
thanks guys. My oil dipstick is all bent up too to snake around the headers but it works. And it drives great I just need to work out the little kinks. My y-pipe bangs like crazy now!! And she doesn't like to start unless I give her some gas. |
 nice set up you went with. You may have to drill the hole in the throttle plate alitte bigger to give you more air for idle. |

yeah I've read a lot of posts about drilling the throttle body and even though it may work it's not the best way. I have HPTuners and have been reading up on doing my own tuning. I read the sticky about how to tune for the idle but most likely will just take it to TTP for a good tune. I may try to tweak it a little myself to get it more in the ballpark so they hopefully won't have to spend more time on it. I'm still nervous about tuning though and am learning what all the tables do. |
I left my hole alone untill i got to the tuner and after a few pulls we took off the TB and drilled it a little bigger. |
