PRC 5.3 Vs. TFS 215 cc
ok so i decided that i was going to go with 5.3 heads and a torquer v.3 cam. but last night i was at work looking through a summit catalog and saw that trick flow had a h\c pack that made 515 hp and i did the math a the tricks would cost me around 600 more than the 5.3s after every thing else was bought (lifters? rockers?clutch? etc.) so what i want to know is the hp going to be that big of a diff. so which is going to make more power.
prc 5.3 stage 2.5 220cc and 2.02\1.575 valves
with tsp torquer v.3 231\234 .643/.598 with111 lsa
or
tfs 215cc intake runners 64cc combustion chamber 2.040/1.575 valves and 80 cc exh.
heads with tfs cam 228/230 .585/.585
both setups would use HS 1.7:1 rockers and a weiand lsx intake(if it ever comes out) or a fast 90/90
wondering if its worth extra 600 or if i should just use the 600 bucks to pick up a zex nitrous system
thanks
sorry for re post but old header sucked

is it still going to only be 600$ after you buy the new rocker arms etc.. for the TFS?
EDIT* just saw you plan to do rockers on either setup.
If you already had decided on the 5.3 I would stay with them that is a great head and will make good power, I also like the cam choice better with the 5.3's you could do better then that tfs cam . to me it sounds like your looking for a reason to go ahead and talk yourself into getting the TFS heads. if thats the case then just do it because later on down the line your probably going to kick yourself for not doing it.

Check out Vengeance Racing's website. You can get the Trickflow heads and a cam seperate. They have many popular grinds that work well with the Trickflow heads.
The package from Summit is a good deal though imo.
