car won't start

Having problems with my 2000 Trans AM. Sometimes it will turn over but not start. If you want a few minutes, take the key out then put it back in, it starts. Could this be the 'PATS' key? I only have the one key.

It could be the VATS...In my case I thought it was the Vats/lock cylinder,but it ended up being just an ignition relay

I think I paid $10 for the relay at the stealership
