Default slp timing chain with slp double roller did you have to grind on front cover or pump?

They mention this in the instructions you may have to grind on the front cover or pump. But they also say not to use shims for this combo.

So who has had to grind ?

I have had the slp double roller on with both the stock pump with shims and the slp pump with no shims and did not have to grind anything. They are both nice parts.

Yeah the slp is modified melling 296.So thats why it shouldn't need much grinding.
I bought a melling 296 but didnt'' want to muck with it so then bought the slp combo.
I for sure wanted the added security of a double roller for my build.
