Default 6.0L truck oil filter?

Does the truck 6L use the same oil filter as the LS1 engine?

The LS1 will work but the truck one is about 1" (roughly) longer so you get a little more capacity.

Check the size of the threads. I have a 2001 6.0 w/standard threads and the f body pan I just bought was metric. Not to worry just change the stub to match. There might be ones that match idk. I did it so I only have to keep one filter around for my trucks and car.

Can't see that happening on a stock pan.

The fitting for a 2004 denali lq4 is diff. than a f body pan purchased 1/24/09 at a gm dealership I don't know why. Seriously I would not lie about this. That would be pretty dumb.

Another weird deal....
The filter on my 5.3/07 engine has a 22MM thread, while the 6.0/05 [H2 Hummer engine], in my 55 has a 13/16" thread.

I was able to find a part number for an 08 6l and it's a different part number than my 2000 TA.

The PF48 (new filter) uses a internal bypass valve from what I gather and the old one (PF46 and PF44) is built into the filter adapter.
