Default C6 vette flowmaster axle-back hp gains?

I bought and installed a flowmaster catback on my dads c6 vette for fathers day a cuple weeks ago. Is there any hp gains from a catback on these cars? The mufflers wur about half the size from the stock ones and much lighter if anything else. It sounds really good too. I love the deep rumble. Btw I had to cut the right side over axle pipe cuz there was no way in hell it was going to fit if I didn't. Other than having to cut that pipe about an inch or so everything went pretty smooth. All the exhaust bolts came out without a fight with some pb blaster soaked on them.

Give it some time to break in for the sound. Im not fond of flowbasterds but he might see about 10 hp over stock. Those stock mufflers are freakin huge lmafo. I did a custom magnaflow on mine I hate it sounds like a big harley.

Doubt you would gain anything, especially going to flowmaster. The stock mufflers are straight thru and flow pretty well vs. the chambered flowmasters.

I would venture to say he probably didn't gain anything power wise, just better sound and saved some weight.

lol. you need to see the stock cans on a 5th gen if you haven't. for one, they are the size of half a coffee table and second, they weigh about 15-20 pounds

Oh yeah the 5gen also lol. But the stock c6 muffler are not straight through they have a z inside them. One mod I do on the c6 zo6 is cut a hole in the muffler, remove the fiber glass and get a stainless band clamp and cover up the holes in the "Z" pattern in the muffler. The sound is close to a corsa with headers.
