Default LS2 Exhaust Questions: X or H pipe, 2.5" or 3", etc

I am installing a stock 400HP LS2 and 4l70e trans out of a 2008 TBSS in my 69 Camaro. I have switched over to a corvette intake & TB with long tube headers with 3.73 gears.

- How important is the exhaust size? Would I be better off with 2.5" or 3"? H pipe or X pipe.
- What would you recommend for header gaskets?

2.5" won't restrict your power at all right now, but if you were to produce a large amount of power in the future, 3" would be your better bet. H pipe will sound more old school and deeper, while an X pipe will give a few more HP (most of the time unnoticeable) and a louder but...more unrefined I suppose sound.

For stock and near stock power 2.5" is more then enough. If you plan on putting down 500+ hp then go with the 3".

H pipe or X pipe?
H sounds deeper and muscular like an old school V8, X sounds like a buzzing exotic european V8...your call as to what you want your 69 Camaro to sound like.

What would you recommend for header gaskets?
Go with OEM ones

The pitch is higher, but it in no way replicates a flat plane crank engine.
