Default Morel Linkbar lifters, I need to replace one, best place to buy?

I have a 418 with Linkbar lifters, its a stock block so I assume I need part 5289 which is a pair of link bar lifters not the set, where is a good place to get them from?

I dont think there are any other type of morel linkbar lifters that are used with stock trays, all the other ones I see are for warhawk or other type blocks.

I would like to order the lifter before I tear down the motor, 99% sure this is the problem is I have a slight lifter knock would like to get it replaced before any seriouse damage is caused.

Link bar lifters don't use the lifter trays, even in a stock block, you leave the trays out when they go in.

Morel makes a few different versions of the lifters for the stock blocks, there's a "street" version and a "race" version. Before you go replacing just 1 pair, you might want to find the build sheets or receipts for the engine to make sure you've got the right ones.

On an older engine it's easier to identify, as you can run it with the valve cover off and watch oil come out of the pushrod at the lifter, but that's much harder to do on these engines with the coils on the covers...not really sure how to troubleshoot it, sorry.

so from what I read up these thigns are only good for 6500rpm? whatt I spin my motor to 7k constantly maybe thats why one failed.

So do these lifters use the same pushrod length as a ls7 lifter I think i am just going to swap them all out to ls7s and call it a day

I already provided those info in your other similar thread, but anyway, that will be as well informative fo all forum members here:

My last four builds were with Morel's 4708 Racing, max rev anywhere between 7200rpm/7600rpm, depending of peripherals, no valve-train issues related to those specific Morel's 4708 Racing..

The Morel's 4708 Racing are responding positively to 0.025/0.035 preload on a Aluminum Block.

Pushrod lenght did vary in my different application relate to Rockers, Rocker Stands and Geometry.

It was also different pushrod lenght from Intake to Exhaust, but it seems that's only if you are picky...
